Not impressive from a physical standpoint but was technically sound, very tough and understands the game. Would project down inside to a guard position. Has a good understanding of angles and he wasn't on the ground a great deal. Good to scoop, but wasn't real effecient at the second level. Is a journeyman player who gives you some versatility and experience. Not a supple easy moving athlete. Solid mid to late second day selection (Rd 5-7).


Biography:

2006: Started all 11 games at left tackle... first-team all-Gateway Football Conference pick ... first-team all-Northwest Region selection ... named the Gateway's Offensive Lineman of the Week after helping running back Corey Lewis gain a career-high 196 yards in a 27-17 win over South Dakota State (9/16) ... helped pave the way for the Panthers' 439-yard rushing attack against Indiana State (10/14) ... assisted the Panther offense in ranking No. 4 in the nation and No. 1 in the Gateway in total offense ... opened holes for a UNI running game that finished ranked No. 10 in the nation at 219.3 yards per game ... helped UNI offense rank No. 11 in the nation in scoring offense (31.0 points/game).

2005: Started all 15 games at left tackle ... first-team all-Gateway selection on the offensive line ... named second-team all-northwest region by Don Hansen's Football Gazette ... two-time Gateway Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week ... earned his first player of the week honor after helping lead UNI to a 41-24 win at Western Illinois (10/1) as the Panthers gained 248 yards on the ground ... also logged player of the week honors after the Panthers' 25-24 win over Southern Illinois (11/12), in which UNI gained 410 total yards.

2004: Started the first five games before undergoing a laparoscopic appendectomy (10/21) ... returned to action at Indiana State ... graded out a winning percentage (80 percent) against Minnesota State (86 percent), Stephen F. Austin (81 percent, 1-plus play), Southern Illinois (85 percent, 1-plus play), Western Kentucky (83 percent, 1-plus play), Indiana State (94 percent), Illinois State (94 percent), when he led the squad in grades; and at Northern Arizona (90 percent).

2003: Redshirted.

High School: All-conference, all-district, second-team all-state in 2001 and 2002 ... 2002 state qualifier in the discus.
