The Eagles placed starting strong safety Sean Considine on injured reserve today. Considine suffered a shoulder injury against the Cowboys this past weekend and will miss the remainder of the season. Filling Considine’s roster spot is rookie Marcus Paschal, who was promoted from the practice squad.

Paschal, a former Iowa Hawkeye and teammate of Considine’s at Iowa, was an undrafted free agent who originally made the Eagles 53-man roster when training camp broke. But after the Eagles made a few moves, Paschal was released and then signed to the practice squad.

The Eagles also made a couple of moves to their practice squad today. The New York Jets signed rookie defensive end Marques Murrell off the Eagles practice squad, forcing the Eagles to sign two players. The Eagles signed strong safety Erick Harris and defensive end Xzavie Jackson to their practice squad.
