Eagles Re-Sign Wynn

The Eagles will be without cornerback Lito Sheppard for the next few weeks, so veteran Dexter Wynn comes back into the fold to fill a void.

The Philadelphia Eagles have re-signed CB Dexter Wynn.

Wynn was a 6th round draft pick of the Eagles in 2004 and saw action in 22 games as a reserve defensive back and on special teams as a kickoff and punt returner. He has averaged 7.6 yards on 40 career punt returns and 17.9 yards on 17 kickoff returns.

Wynn was released by the Eagles as part of their final roster cut down on September 2.

Nickel CB Rod Hood will start for CB Lito Sheppard (ankle) who should miss a few games.

The team was also considering re-signing CB Donald Strickland who was released prior to the start of the regular season.

To make room on the 53-man roster, the team released backup RB Bruce Perry.
