Eagles Sign 12 Players To Deals

While there aren't exactly any big names, the Eagles signed 12 players to deals and assigned 9 of them to NFL Europe.

There are 12 more players who can call themselves Eagles today. The list includes:

Free safety *Ed Canonico, 6'' 1", 180 pounds, Sacramento State

Strong Safeties Corey Peoples, 6' 2", 212 pounds, South Carolina and Brandon Pinderhughes, 5' 11", 195 pounds, Nebraska-Omaha

Defensive Tackle Jeremy Caudill, 6' 2", 318 pounds, Kentucky

Defensive End *Darrell Lee, 6' 4", 273 pounds, Florida

Quarterback Timmy Chang, 6' 2", 194 pounds, Hawaii

Tight Ends *Jonas Crafts, 6' 3", 250 pounds, Texas-El Paso and *Andy Thorn, 6' 5", 250 pounds, Northern Iowa

Wide Receivers *Michael Gasperson, 6' 4", 220 pounds, San Diego and Edward Simms, 6' 4", 230 pounds, William Penn

Center Dominic Furio, 6' 3", 305 pounds, UNLV

Punter *Reggie Hodges, 6' 0", 226 pounds, Ball State

* Denotes players who finished the 2005 season on the Eagles' practice squad.

Hodges punted 19 times for the Eagles during the season and finished with a 33.5 yards per punt average. He put six punts inside the 20 yard line in his time with the club.

Of the players who were signed, eight of them will play in NFL Europe during the off-season. Those players are Jeremy Caudill (DT), Timmy Chang (QB), Jonas Crafts (TE), Michael Gasperson (WR), Darrell Lee (DE), Corey Peoples (SS), Brandon Pinderhughes (SS) and Edward Simms (WR). The Eagles will also send Defensive Tackle Kenyonta Marshall, their seventh-round pick in 2005 to NFL Europe. Marshall was on the Eagles practice squad and played one regular season game with the team.
