Josh Huff Expected to Miss Time?

Huff is expected to miss at least this Thursday's game with a shoulder injury.

CSN's Geoff Mosher provides speculation on the condition of rookie receiver Josh Huff, who injured his right shoulder on a kickoff return Friday night in Foxborough.

According to Mosher, both Riley Cooper and Jeremy Maclin offered ostensibly-pessimistic outlooks on Huff's immediate future, despite there being no medical reports that place Huff out for an extended time. Coach Chip Kelly has said little more than that Huff would miss 'the rest of the week', which includes Thursday's match-up with the Steelers.

It's important to consider that Mosher's story could just be empty speculation, since Cooper and Maclin aren't exactly doctors. It wouldn't be the first time someone has published a doom-and-gloom story without a concrete foundation.

Still, if Mosher's proven right, that makes it feasible for Brad Smith, Arrelious Benn, and Ifeanyi Momah to all make the final roster cut until Huff is capable of playing again. Smith already seems certain to make the time, while Benn and Momah are near the cut-off point with Damaris Johnson and Jeff Maehl.
